First of all this business is no longer located on McMillan in West Monroe. It’s on McKeen Place in Monroe. They continue to charge up to four times the amount that we can get by getting a visiting patient card in Arkansas and going up there to El Dorado and buying this stuff for 1/4 of the price I don’t even see how they stay in business …card online to the state of Arkansas marijuana program Get You a $50 visiting patient card and go to El Dorado to Zen Leaf and buy four times the product at a superior quality with a knowledgeable staff is my advice.

Today was my first trip to Delta Medmar. Herb, a real easy going friendly guy, checked me in. I saw Herb interacting with the patients as they waited, most must have been regulars as everyone seemed to love Herb. He let me know it was my turn. I went in the back and met Ryan and Christina, They were both easy to talk to. I asked a lot of questions and Ryan laid out all of the answers for me. I could tell he had my genuine interest at heart as he was very patient with me and all of my questions. Ryan explained everything in detail to me, and I mean DETAIL, and him and Christina made me feel welcome and not at all awkward. I picked what I wanted and was out the door in a jiffy. I will absolutely go back when needed. The overall atmosphere from the patients, to Herb, to Ryan and Christina was a delightful experience.

The pricing is nearly two-thirds more than street value, which technically takes away from the incentive to purchase cannabis legally for medical use, also the "street" product potentcy is at most times higher than the medicine itself which you would be the other way around setting how they are charging you not just for the product but also labor, taxes, growing conditions etc. My medical conditions require the benefits of cannabis indica rather than cannabis sativa due to sativa strains being more of a stimulant than indica strains and yet they still prescribed me a 50/50 hybrid. At first glance the staff seem to project a positive energy/outlook, but once you converse with said "professionals" it appears they know very little of the information that help their patients. There is no product selection, rather it's more take what we give you and be grateful. It is clear they have done no research on strain benefits nor pricing, though there is plenty of data to go by

Sometimes some of the products can be a little overpriced, but i have experienced that with the pricing sheet from the healing clinic that was emailed to me. Yes they make you sign in when you get there, but its to have a one on one interaction with the pharmacist(im pretty sure thats part of the law currently) and then you can get in and out of there as fast as you want. This place just takes their time to make sure the patients understand the difference in the types of items you can buy and how to properly use them/other ways that they can be taken that are not as common knowledge but is very effective. They have a waiting room where you sit once you sign in to where you can communicate(if you and they want) with the other patients there and share information/connect with others in your community who are using this to help with their medical issues and can help make it lose the negative connotations a lot faster by approaching it this way.

ACTUAL hours of operation are Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 9-6 and Mondays 10-4, forget about trying to learn the actual product or pricing online or anywhere else without going into the place. I was greeted by a staff member who never bothered to turn around from his computer screen directing me to sign in. How long would this take? As long as it takes I was told...I spoke to a couple of other patients in the waiting room and found out all I needed to know and decided to leave. Contacted The Healing Clinic in Shreveport and told them of my experience...they finally emailed me product list and pricing for all 10 dispensaries in Louisiana...many of these dispensaries have pictures of cannabis flower all over their webpages suggesting that flower is available in Louisiana...IT IS NOT. Part of the problem is the dishonest and shady advertising which isn't helping anyone. It seems the medical cannabis program in Louisiana is set up to fail which surprises no one.
