This place is so amazing. Their produce, bread, cheese, and meat is easily the best quality (better even than Whole Foods). But even if it wasn’t, the employees are so nice I’d keep coming here anyway... more

Feedback:

Good quality food, but very expensive. I went with a friend who was a member, and watched her buy what I would consider to be about $50 worth of groceries for about $140. After her member discount. I know it's all organic, but even so that's a lot. And "locally sourced" does not mean it should be more expensive. It means it has to travel much less, so it should be cheaper.

High quality tasty foods, friendly service, expensive, but it is a lifestyle! I go there at least twice per week. I did notice the store gives 10% discount to those who possess and use ABT "food stamps". It kind of sucks that I don't get the same discount since I've been contributing to society to the past 34 years, and will probably never get anything for doing so.

I havent been here in almost 20 yrs and never been to this location. I gotta say I am throughly impressed. Natural Foods has always been a great place to get ' hard to find' items. I had actually moved away from them until recently and man I forgot just how much there is to appreciate bout this store! I attacked the bulk herbs/spices and someone was there almost consistantly to straightening clean and assist in any way. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Even growing as they have, and as busy as they were someone was always close by to assist. Even my daughter enjoyed the trip and she doesnt like ANY SHOPPING TRIP! So win win and cudos to to SNFC for keeping it real all these years! 😉

Quality products, superior service, reasonable prices. There's the added bonus that they supply and carry from local producers, especially when in-season. The parking lot is the only downside, but you can usually find a spot on the street or the parking garage next door. They also offer a number of great classes, some on site and some through partnerships like with Soil Born Farms.

It's nice to have a store like Sacramento Natural Foods co-op. Which has pretty much everything. It really feels like a big spacious grocery store upon entering. However, frequently shopping here can you leave you flat out broke!  I understand that healthy organic groceries & foods are pricey, but every time I've come here I've discovered something new. So, each time I visit I've spent over 20 dollars for one meal..just simply ridiculous. 😟  This keeps me from coming very often. I will say that they have an awesome selection of good foods to eat hot & cold. These are the only reasons I come in every few months. Why are we so entitled to pay massive increases in food costs also battling other increases in the cost of living. It actually doesn't matter any more? It's quite discouraging. I'm so sadden with low hourly wages and what the Co-op has become and the outcome of our economy.  A bigger store only brings along a bigger ego.But the store is so slick and beautiful.  All these costs of a new store are being payed for by us (the tax payers) of course. The parking situation is no better than the old parking....because the bigger the store that invites more people which causes more people park..... In turn it leaves us with a congested parking lot.😮😬  I'm progressive advocate when it comes to changes.

You do not have to be a member to shop here, but if you do shop here on a somewhat regular basis, please consider joining, as members do receive certain benefits and discounts not available to the general public. Members can also participate in the governance of the Co-op. The SNFC is an iconic Sacramento staple that exemplifies the very best practices of cooperative business models. It is a natural foods cooperative and to that end they focus on providing locally sourced organic foods and products. They also host a variety of classes throughout the year in their upstairs classroom. Like the rest of the Co-op, the classroom is modern and spacious and set up perfectly for classes with a large prep island that has ample room for students to gather round and participate. Classes here are a great value and a great idea for a fun date night.

This place is so amazing. Their produce, bread, cheese, and meat is easily the best quality (better even than Whole Foods). But even if it wasn’t, the employees are so nice I’d keep coming here anyway. They will literally cut up fruit for you to taste before you buy it. They’ll teach you the ins and outs of whatever eccentric vegetable or cheese you aren’t sure if you want to try. And their prepared food. Ugh. So good. I was there this morning and got a heavenly and massive breakfast sandwich that was the best post workout fuel, and while I waited for it to be cooked, FIVE employees asked me if I was being helped. Employees who didn’t even work in prepared foods.I’ll spend the extra $$ coming here every week, because it’s well worth it.

High quality everything. Locally sourced everything. Helpful friendly staff. Prices are high, but shop on first Friday for10% off if you aren't a member. Parking is atrocious even at the new location with extra parking. Avoid home shopping around lunch time, it's a mad house. The ready to eat foods are excellent and the Co Op offers classes.

Feedback:

I never feel relaxed or good shopping here. Cramped, very expensive produce, and rude customers. Reception seems as though they never want to be here. Lighting is absolutely horrible. On the plus, I do like their incense/candle section. If you want vegan/veggie/gluten-free food, go to Whole Foods or Nugget. At Whole Foods, I always feel welcomed and right at home. At the Co-op, I want to run out as soon as possible so I don't get trampled by other customers.
