Feedback:
A bad but truthful review and they flood the reviews with phony 5 star reviews...they get a few reviews period for a couple years, then all of a sudden several 5 star reviews within hours of a bad review... very interesting
Feedback:
I'm a Master Electrician and HVAC technician that applied for an advertised position at this company. I personally delivered a resume to the HR Manager, and said I was pleased to find a potential position in an ancillary company serving the cannabis industry. One of my reasons for avoidance of working directly with cannabis is the requirement for a Colorado MED licensure badge. Getting a MED badge provably causes damage to your credit, and I have other far more important professional licenses to protect. I also have to be able to obtain BONDING and INSURANCE for the electrical work I do for firms like Urban-Gro to make the work legal. Despite my pointing that out, she exuberently lets me know she nonetheless has a MED badge herself, and is so happy to be part of the dream with her seven weeks in the cannabis industry. I get that "Oh no I'm talking to the wrong person" feeling...She tells me to wait a month while they gather resumes...so I wait roughly a month and re-iquire. Nothing. Another week goes by and I call her only to find out that higher ups hired somebody else without even telling her. Don't bother to let me know. While I'm waiting, another individual is already employed at what might have been a worthwhile position. I would like to point out that it is fairly well known to the public that the legal mainstream Colorado cannabis industry producers and sellers are predominantly crooks and hustlers; the whole thing was just taken big time to launder money for the Big Dogs. There is no place for true mechanical professionals in the cannabis industry because of the flaky and deviant nature of the owners of these firms. By professionals, I mean people with State Licensure in the mechanicals, not "I build grow tables maaan". This is the exact reason why every commercial grow you walk or drive by stinks to high hell of cannabis: It's all talk that these businesses comply with the law, and it is also all talk that firms like Urban-Gro can really solve all that for you. It is also well known to the public that a lot of electrical work is involved, and the HR Manager told me that Urban-Gro offers a complete turn-key install of cannabis grows in house. I therefore logically asked if Urban-Gro employs Master electricians like myself for these turn-key grows to be legal, and she said no. So either their grows are turn-key and illegal, or they are not turn-key. So which is it? It was at this point that I determined that the ancillary companies are just as bad as the cultivation ones: populated with tutti-frutty cubicle dreamers that don't know if they are revolutionizing the cannabis industry or manufacturing tampons. I was willing to consider a position at Urban-Gro despite even the management's inability to put a complete sentence together on You-tube, and my inability to pronounce the name of Urban-Gro's flagship electronic product that nobody needs. The marketing is just that bad. They even sport the "Blue Dress Shirt n' Jeans Sans Tie" corporate cuck thing just like the rest of the Canna-Posers that were doing something completely different before legalization. Avoid. In rebuttal to their following response, it is absolutely ludicrous to suggest that there were hundreds of applicants for the position, there were a few. They can hire who they want, when they want. I decline to be labeled a "candidate", as if it is an honor to work there, when in reality my track record in cannabis and hemp is longer than anyone who works there, with actual milestones. Stop wasting my time.
